Dear Member/Friend,

The uncertainty caused by the Covid 19 pandemic has forced us to have to make the decision of delaying the opening date of the resort to March 2021.

Parts of the Canary Islands are seeing heightened coronavirus restrictions in a bid to stop the spread of coronavirus after a sudden rise in cases:

Countries locking down or advised not to travel unless it is essential

Spain has registered a considerable increase in the number of cases over the last few weeks. The increases motivated the Canarian Government to announce further restrictions.

All visitors aged six and over that arrive in Gran Canaria on or after November 14th, and are staying at a hotel, bungalow, holiday let or other tourist accommodation, must have been tested negative for Covid-19 in the 72 hours prior to travel. The type of tests that are valid are PCR tests and antigen tests that are approved by national health authorities and come with a detailed certificate.

If you are exempt from using a mask on medical grounds you will need a signed doctor's letter or certificate as the police are asking for them and most shops will not let people in without them. These letters must be signed and theoretically need to be translated into Spanish by an official translator.

The significant number of requests from our owners to bank their December 2020 and January 2021 weeks and/or cancel their bookings with Bahia Blanca

Our purpose is to open the resort on the 24th of March 2021, and we will try to be flexible with the opening date if your travel arrangements are dated two or three days earlier.

If the COVID situation changes and it is favourable to be able to open sooner, we will give out this information in advance.

Once again throughout this difficult time, we would like to thank you all for your continued support and send wishes of good health.

We look forward to opening our doors to you again and welcoming you back!
